Jesus Healed My Niece
Jesus Healed My Niece

I received a long-distance phone call from my sister one day. She told me that her 14-year-old daughter, May, had been injured in a bicycle accident. She had been cycling in a mountainous area when she fell and hit her head on a rock. She was unconscious with a brain hemorrhage and was in intensive care. My sister cried as she said, “Please pray for May. I believe that your prayers can change things and that God can do a miracle.”
I prayed for my niece on the phone. “Please give May another chance, dear Lord. Please spare her from becoming handicapped, and help her to come out of this without any lasting damage. You promised that You made us and You can fix us, dear Lord. Make her completely whole. We believe that You can do it, Jesus.”
After the call I couldn’t stop thinking about and praying for May. I had taken care of May when she was younger, and when I’d first gotten saved I would read Bible stories to her and teach her about Jesus. I cried to think about her state–but it only made me more desperate in prayer for her.
Then I received the news: By a miracle, May fully recovered and was able to normally attend school once again. As soon as she was released from ICU she called me. “Aunty,” she said, “I’m all right now. Thank you so much for your prayers. I know that you prayed for me and because of that Jesus healed me.” Praise the Lord!
