Bucket List?
I first heard of a ‘bucket list’ from a friend who posted a photo on Facebook of himself doing a handstand on the Great Wall of China. The comment was, ‘Two things crossed off my bucket list at once!’

I asked him what a ‘bucket list’ was and he said it was a list people make of things to do before you ‘kick the bucket’ (die).
I’ve tried to make a bucket list, but never really had the inspiration for it. I’m living the life that I want to be living, have a wonderful husband and adorable son, doing what I love doing day in and day out!
Yes, I know I could be making a lot more money, I could be living in a country that has the basic urban necessities (clean water, good roads and constant electricity), but looking over some other people’s bucket lists online there are many of them that I wouldn’t need to add to any list I make because I’ve already done it in the course of my missionary journeys and activities.
Of course, there is always more to do than can ever be done and it’s good to stop and take stock of your life and where you’re headed. I do that from time to time, but making a bucket list isn’t a high priority for me at the moment. Perhaps when I do, I’ll share it with you all. Until then, do what you love and also love what you’re doing!
I’ve always thought the idea of a bucket list was silly. For myself at least. Are there things I’d like to accomplish? Sure. But the reality of my partiucular life….and espically the way the world runs tdoay…means they’re just going to remain dreams for the most part.
I have an unofficial bucket list which mostly consists of places I want to go.
I have never made a Bucket List, however, I did write on my blog about a Reverse Bucket List for midlife. A soulful, silly, and powerful midlife ritual that flips the script from what’s next to wow, I did that! It was a lot of fun to write and to think about.
I have no bucket list. I have been at the Great Wall of China and Tianamen Square. Sometimes I make clean the house list. 🙂
