Thoughts on Comments – Part 8

I agree that things have changed a little since the pandemic, but it’s all been foretold and warned against in the New Testament. The book of Hebrews says, ‘Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.’ This is the King James’ Version.
The Message (not my absolute favorite) reads, “Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.”
All in all, there are many ways to include others in your day, even if it’s only a greeting and sharing a smile. The book of Proverbs calls a merry heart as good as medicine. I guess, let’s all be doctors by spreading some cheer!! 😉
Lovely. I grew up reading the King James Version of the bible. When verses quoted from it, it warms my heart. Thank you for sharing. I think we could all use a good dose of proverbs these days.
Iku, yes, I have noticed people being less friendly since the Pandemic. This may be partly b/c they are studying their phones or tablets as they go by. Some really thing a person is being rude by speaking to them while they are walking along, listening to a podcast with earbuds in! Btw, do you believe the Day is coming? I sometimes feel it coming fairly soon.
